What We Faced
GreenShift's consultants were assembling carbon reports manually from client utility bills and supplier invoices — a two-week exercise per client before any analysis could begin. Clients also had no visibility into their own numbers between annual audits.
How We Solved It
We built a data-ingestion layer that parses utility CSV exports and maps them to Scope 1/2/3 categories automatically. A calculation engine applies GHG Protocol emission factors and outputs a PDF report and an API endpoint for each client's data.
Results Achieved
Report preparation time fell from two weeks to under a day for returning clients. Three of GreenShift's clients used the output directly in their ESG disclosure filings without manual reformatting. The consultancy onboarded 18 new clients in the following quarter, citing faster turnaround as the main selling point.
